This project reimagines a 30-year-old beach house with a bold renovation and extension, elevating it into a contemporary coastal retreat. A striking third storey was added, complete with a balcony capturing panoramic views across Point Lonsdale’s iconic back-beach sand dunes.

Key features include a seamlessly integrated lift from the carport to the ground floor, a sculptural steel stair stringer, and the warmth of Jarrah flooring throughout. Bathrooms are finished in refined microcement, while expansive thermally-broken aluminium windows flood the interiors with light and frame the coastal outlook.

To enhance comfort and performance, the home was fully reinsulated to today’s standards and fitted with ducted air conditioning, ensuring year-round liveability. The result is a residence that balances modern design, durability, and the timeless charm of its coastal setting.
